لاہور: قومی ہاکی ٹیم کے سابق کپتان طاہرزمان نے ہاکی اولمپئین نوید عالم کے علاج کے لیے وزیر اعظم سے مدد کی اپیل کردی۔
اپنے ویڈیو پیغام میں انٹرنیشنل ہاکی فیڈریشن کے کوالیفائیڈ کوچ اور قومی ہاکی ٹیم کے سابق کپتان طاہر زمان کا کہنا ہے کہ 1994 کے ورلڈ کپ کی جیت میں نوید عالم نے اہم کردار ادا کیا،دوسرے ایونٹس میں بھی نوید عالم نے پاکستانی پرچم بلند کرنے کے لیے بہت جان ماری، وہ اس وقت کینسر جیسے موذی مرض میں مبتلا ہیں۔
طاہر زمان کا کہنا تھا کہ وزیر اعظم عمران خان خود اسپورٹس مین اور کھیلوں سے محبت کرنے والے انسان ہیں، وہ نوید عالم کےمفت علاج کے لیے احکامات جاری کریں تاکہ ان کی فیملی کو احساس ہو کہ جن لوگوں نے پاکستان کا نام اونچا کرنے میں نمایاں کردار ادا کیا ہے، وہ لاوارث نہیں، حکومت ان کا بھرپور طریقے سے خیال رکھ رہی ہے۔ اس کے ساتھ ساتھ پاکستان میں اسپورٹس ویلیفیئر فنڈ بھی قائم کرنے پر زور دیا تاکہ مشکل وقت میں ان فنڈ سے کسی بھی کھلاڑی کی مدد کی جاسکے۔
